18x24 canvas; liquid and medium body acrylics; framed "23x29". "O.D.â (Outer Darkness) was created shortly after an intense theological debate over. I was intrigued and admittedly disturbed by the concept of a personâs soul being cast into âOuter Darkness" it is a concept that still haunts me.

Being an observer of art was never enough, I began painting at an early age and truly enjoyed the arts whether it was playing with my mothersâ make-up or painting on the walls. My exposure to the art community was initially developed through classical arts, fashion, and music, later discovering what my passion truly was and it is painting. Growing up in Los Angeles I always felt that my education was unorthodox and I wanted to experience the arts and culture on my own. My first trip in high school to New York was the experience that gave me life changing cultural experience. Spending time in the MET which is still one of my favorite museums and being exposed to such an amazing collection of art has made a lasting impact in my life. In college my major was International Business and my minor was Art History. After leaving school I was recruited by Credit-Suisse, continuing my career in finance with other institutions such as AIG SunAmerica at its height and JRK Birchmont Advisors. Though I was consensually aware that I loved the arts in 2006 I started working on my series which is now a 12 piece collection. I knew I needed to create my own art which is my sole priority and it is not only my passion, but my life. My work is spontaneous, yet with direction, thought and purpose. Each layer of paint and technique that hits the canvas has depth in its meaning. The arts are within everyone lifeâs and some people arenât aware of it but most people are artistic whether it being with interior decorating, using their body a canvas by being fashionable or accessorizing , making music, food, cocktails or floral / landscaping arrangements. The arts are always being used and instrumental on a daily basis. I endeavor the opportunity to continue to develop honing my skills as an artist and work with other talented painters whether it is here in Los Angeles or another city. My experience making this first âofficialâ art collection has been truly rewarding. I am currently working on my second and await the endless possibilities that will come along as well.
