Beautiful may be scary. Frightening can be pretty. In my works I always use glass - one of the most beautiful materials - for creation of "uncomfortable" art. Dimensions: all sculptures are made true to life size of relevant objects.

Boris Shpeizman was born and grew up in St. Petersburg (aka Leningrad), USSR. At age of 17 started to learn at Medical School, department of Dentistry. While being a student he became an activist in a movement for human rights and democracy in the USSR. As a result of this activity he was under risk of arrest and used first possible opportunity to immigrate to Israel. After few quiet years of working as a Dentist he started to paint and then sculpture. In 2005 Boris got a BFA from Bezalel Academy of Art, department of Ceramic and Glass Design. Subsequently he closed his Dental Clinic to devote all his energy to Glass Blowing. During his relatively short carrier as a Glass Artist he was awarded International prestigious scholarships and awards. His works are exhibiting in galleries and museums in Israel, France, Germany, US and UK. Currently Boris is working as a Lecturer at Bezalel Academy of Art and in his Glass Studio in Tel Aviv, Israel.
