Entry Title: "Dead Sea Scrolls"
Category and Expertise: Interior Design, Professional
The exhibition at the Drents Museum (Assen, The Netherlands) is dedicated to one of the most revolutionary archaeological finds of the twentieth century: the Dead Sea Scrolls. Some of the fragments havent been exhibited before. It introduces the visitor to the cultural and historical context of the Greek-Roman era, during which the manuscripts were written, collected and hidden, by means of over 400 archaeological objects, photographs and films. In addition, the story of the discovery, significance, shape and conservation of these special writings is told. The central square in the exhibition immerses the visitor in an abstract desert.
